7 February , 2005: We have several news items related to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory today. Firstly, the LA Times has a new article about the film. You can read it here!
There's also an interview with the actress who plays Violet Beauregarde at The Movie Reporter.
Finally, the UK version of the teaser trailer has been released, featuring a few new shots which you can watch here.

20 January , 2005: McFarlane Toys have announced they will be producing a variety of Corpse Bride toys.

5 January , 2005: Warner Bros. announces toy partner for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

20 December , 2004: Possible(?) new picture from The Corpse Bride here. Along with that is a clearer picture of the first picture released.

10 December , 2004: The seriously trippy teaser trailer for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory can be seen here now!

9 December , 2004: It may seem like ages since the film came out, but Big Fish's soundtrack has been nominated for a Grammy!

13 November , 2004: The official site for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has now opened. There's not much there now, but watch for future developments.

8 November , 2004: The official one-sheet poster for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has now emerged. You can see it at our Charlie page.

30 October, 2004: Aint it cool news has posted some pictures from the set of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

19 October, 2004: The long-awaited Region 1 Ed Wood DVD is out now!
Also, here's a BBC interview with Johnny Depp where he talks a little about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

13 October, 2004: IGN.com has a review of the much delayed Ed Wood Region 1 DVD, out October 19th.

2 September, 2004: Apparently, there will be a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory game to tie in with the film.

17 July, 2004: An accident on the set of Charlie has occurred involving a camera dropping into a vat of chocolate! Let's hope it doesn't delay the production too much.
In other news today, Nestle are making chocolate bars specially for the film. Mmmmmm . . . chocolate.

30 June, 2004: More names have been announced for the cast of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, including Christopher Lee! And filming has officially started. See the full cast list here.

29 June, 2004: Some very exciting news today. Johnny Depp has decided to lend his voice to The Corpse Bride, meaning that fans can look forward to two collaborations between the star and Burton in 2005! Several other big name stars have been announced for the animated film as well, some of whom have also worked with Burton before.

3 May, 2004: Despite the fact that there still hasn't been any official confirmation, it looks like Freddie Highmore is the lucky kid who has won the title role in Charlie and Chocolate Factory. Highmore also shares the screen with Johnny Depp in J.M. Barrie's Neverland , which is set to be released in US this October. For Highmores full filmography, click here

2 April, 2004: The official release date for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory seems to have been set to July 15th, 2005.
About the casting of Charlie, there have been lots of rumours going around that Jimmy "Jax" Pinchak will be cast as Charlie. These rumours have not been officially confirmed though, and are most likely false.

11 March, 2004: The Home Theatre Forum held an online chat with Warner Bros executives, discussing about different dvd releases. The transcript can be read here. Here are the bits of information about new Burton dvds:

(About Beetlejuice & Beetlejuice animated v series): We are considering a BEETLEJUICE SE. No plans for the TV series.

(About Batman SE dvds): we're planning something to synchronize with the new BATMAN feature in 2005.

Not much, but at least this means there is hope for a Beetlejuice Special Edition sometime in the future!

10 March, 2004: A Bunch of news today:

First off, www.dvdanswers.com has a picture of what the Big Fish dvd menu looks like. The dvd can be pre-ordered from Amazon.com.

Superherohype.com has the following to report about future Batman dvd releases: "Coming in 2005 is a special edition release of Batman which will be cross-promoted with the new Christopher Nolan movie. Also, you can expect a box set of the Batman: The Animated Series in 2004, while the 60's Batman TV show won't hit DVD soon due to legal issues."      - Hopefully both Batman and Batman Returns will be released as special editions!

And finally, sad news, Actor Paul Winfield has passed away at the age of 62. Winfield was best remembered to Burton fans as General Casey in Mars Attacks!. His other movies included The Terminator and Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan.

1 March, 2004: In the Oscars, Big Fish lost in the only category it was nominated; best original score. Neither Tim Burton, Helena Bonham-Carter or Danny Elfman were present at the Award ceremony.

19 February, 2004: The dvd of Big Fish is now available for pre-order from Amazon.com. Click here to pre-order it.

16 February, 2004: You can check out the art work for the upcoming Big Fish dvd here. It will be released on April 27th for a SRP of $29.98.

28 January, 2004: The Oscar nominations are in, and BIG FISH was completely robbed, it only received one nomination, for Original Score (Danny Elfman). This just goes on to show how low the Academy Awards have sunk.

19 March, 2004: Many new updates in the past week, Both the multimedia and Articles sections are now open. We are still working on both so they only have a fraction of the content up at the moment. Also the Sleepy Hollow page is now up.

10 March, 2004: As promised, the NMBC page is now up. Also the Independent filmmakers section is now up with the first filmmaker interview. And yet another new feature is the Unrealised projects page. More to come soon!

7 March, 2004: New Pages up: The Shopping Guide, Jeffrey Jones article. Coming up next week: The NMBC page (finally!), an article about Burtons unrealised projects, The Sleepy Hollow page and possibly other stuff too.

1 March, 2004: Our Biography page for Tim Burton is finally up, you can get there by clicking the Biography button on the left. Also the movies section is being updated constantly, look for the Nightmare Before Christmas page to be open soon. Also a few more regulars articles should be up in the near future.

16 February, 2004: The Edward Scissorhands page is now up, also look for the Mars Attacks! page to be opened in the next few days.

6 February, 2004: Joe Cortez has written a fabulous new Martin Landau article for us, which is up at the Regulars section. Also the page for Ed Wood is now open. More to come soon!

4 February, 2004: Pee-Wee's Big Adventure page was added, also some of the other pages were updated.
