Edward Scissorhands ballet tour info and Believe it or Not update
Two small news items today. For those of you that don't already know, Matthew Bourne's stage production of Edward Scissorhands is currently on tour in America. More information on the dates and locations can be found here.
Also, Variety reports that Steve Oederkerk (Kung Pow) is working on the script for Believe It or Not, with Burton and Jim Carrey still attached. So we may yet see this delayed biopic of Robert Ripley after Burton is finished with Sweeney Todd.

Reviews from Canada haven't been good at all for the stage production of Scissorhands.. hopefully i'll get the chance to see it anyway
and i'm definately stoked to see Jim Carrey and Tim work together, i love both their work so much!
Sorry Sally, I have to dissagree with Jim Carry:( ....after the Grinch, (even way before that) I really cant stand that type of stuff.
But, I respect him, the only thing I hope for is that they drop Jim, and TB dosnt do Music Vids. for the rest of his career....
I don't know how it will turn out. Its kinda scarry thinking about Jim and Tim together. I've never even seen them together have you? I guess if Believe It or Not is a comedy then maby but I'm not sure if it is or not.
Carrey is a talented actor though, i still think they will be an interesting pair/ jim has done a good acting job in his more serious roles.. look for the number 23 trailer it looks amazing!
anyway, and i thought tim did an amazing job on the music video.. am i the only one who thought so? =S
Im gald Sweeney Todd comes before Ripleys cuz i am WAY mroe excietd for it then Ripleys. Jim is okaaaaaay, he was aweesome in Ace Ventura but that was so long ago. Im excited to see how Ripleys turns out.

Sally....i like the music video T.B. did too! Seeing how he doesnt normally do stuff like that, he really pulled it off well. I like Jim Carrey too--he was EXCELLENT in the Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind! That movie proved he can be a serious actor; its just he keeps accepting this goofy roles that he shouldnt do.
I hope the Ripleys movie stays alive b/c i honestly think the Johnny Depp/T.B. thing is getting kinda old--im just not excited yet about this Todd Sweeny thing.
I'm still dying to see Believe It or Not. Jim Carrey will be fantastic, and paired with Tim, this is definitely going to be something. My attitude at this point is that Carrey should mix his comedic and dramatic styles together to do Ripley. That's what I expect anyway.

I was fortunate enough to see Bourne's Edward Scissorhands play yesterday in Los Angeles and it was beautiful. I highly recommend it. :-)
I too loved Carrey's performance on Eternal Sunshine of the Spottless Mind. I have a feeling he'll do well in Sweeney Todd.
Off topic: Has anyone seen Fun with Dick and Jane? i know it received terrible reviews but its so funny, i actually couldn't believe how much i laughed

Yes, Merry Christmas to all Burton fans. I got the latest edition of Burton on Burton (the one with Johnny doing the forward), plus a book on the making of Corpse Bride. What great presents!
On another note...
Jim Carrey will be great with Tim. It is perfect material for them, and anyone who doesn't think this will work out has a serious problem. Bring on both Sweeney Todd and Believe It or Not.

I don't believe it for a second, but I'm surprised no one has mentioned it.
I SAW THAT! I DON'T KNOW WHY I DIDN'T MENTION IT BEFORE! Yes, it seems a little unbelievable, being that it's a adaptation of the Pee Wee TV show, but to see Tim do something with Paul Reubens again would be pretty amazing (for lack of a better word).

Well, like I said, Timothy Spall is in talks to play the Beadle, so there's some news for ya. If he winds up playing him, we'll have three Harry Potter actors appearing in Sweeney Todd.

In his comedic movies, I always see a scene that he brings out his emotional, tough, sometimes scary or dramatic. He will definitely pull this one off. And with Tim Burton no less! perfect combination!
