Scissorhands finally comes to the stage
Matthew Bourne's long-planned dance version of Edward Scissorhands will finally open on the London stage beginning November 30th. There are several interesting articles about the production online. The New York Times and Variety both have pieces on it, The Evening Standard reports ticket sales have already topped £1 million, and Playbill has photos from the stage production's recent tryout. Anyone who manages to get to see the production in London, be sure to send us a review!

Hmm I dunno, the guy playing Edward doesn't look like Edward, he needs to have more innocence to his face, but I'd like to see it anyway.

the guy playing Edward isn't an actor his a performer. and isn't going to be able to create the same 'Edward' we all know.. plus his make-up and costume has to be done so he can perform proboly..stop being picky.. lol its about the story and the performance not the look.
i hope i can go. it looks quite expensive. although it is during the christmas holls. i'm scared the tickets are going to get sold out!!!!!!! :<. shame that the girl acting as kim isn't waring the cool white dress that winona has. oh how i love that dress of hers. ahh well i guess it would be a bit hard to dance in lolz. love you all tim burton fans. you rock
tim burton is my hero but Edward looks like he lost that young innocent look when some like,40 yr old guy plays him instead of Johnny Depp.

I beg to differ. If something is to be done, it is to be done properly. What is the stage, then, if the appearance isn't at least a LITTLE convincing?
Don't gimme that "it's not about the look"--the whole point of going onstage is to tell the story, and to tell it well.
In order to do that, (well, if this play is to be any good at all) one must have an excellent performance with the appropriate look to support it.
I can hardly imagine this being a Shoestring Theatre production--a guy standing up there with a pair of scissors taped to each wrist, presuming to be our darling Edward.
Edward Scissorhands is one of my favorite movies. I sincerely hope they don't cag it.

The performer that played edward was really good he captured what depp added to the film there was only a couple of good scenes throughout all that were done to the ost. Ice dance (kim dancing round the ice statue) finale (kim dances with edward then split apart by the crowd) and edward the barber (edward cuts the hair) Overall i enjoyed it. it is slightly different to the film but in a gud way. This will maybe get me yelled at, but I didn't even mail it. Besides, that one was for school and I had to ask him to give the school something. I didn't get to say much of what I wanted to put into the letter. But I wrote another one on my computer with a lot more time put into it, so I'll see if I can mail that one.
Oh, and for anyone who would like to know, I had to draw a picture in art class that had to be from a picture. It had to be realistic( the same as the picture)and abstract with the characters as shapes. And I did the poster for Corpse Bride. It really is something. If you look at the Victor that I drew and the one on the poster, who probally can't tell the difference.

Hes really suprising aprochable and quiet, he was talking to some people about the ballet we asked for autograph and picture and he was talking to us for about 5 min he wished all the best for me in my film makeing its competly made my year. i also gave him something i did on the train to london a dr seuss type story for edward scissorhands hope hes read it! :s

OMG! If I met Tim Burton I would freak! That is my only wish, is to meet him someday! If I got to meet him I would have him sign every peice of scrap paper I had!
