Corpse Bride on shortlist for films elligible for Best Animated Feature Oscar

It's been announced that Tim Burton's Corpse Bride is one of ten animated feature films in the running to be nominated at next year's Oscars. Only three can make the final nominations, so let's hope Corpse Bride makes the grade.
There's also an interview with Burton from the Chicago Sun-Times, where he talks about the recently released Batman DVDs.

YES! Peter Travers said himself that "the Oscar for this year's best animated feature film belongs right here" so why shouldn't it be nominated? Cross your fingers!

Wallice and Gromit is there too... I'm really scared. It's always won... Here's a question though, will you be posting the nomminees?
Also, why is it taking so long to add a new post to the news this month?

lots of animated films this year deserve consideration. look for the academy to go with 3 different types of animation:
corpse bride with the stop motion
wallace and grommit with claymation
and shrek2 for CGI

coming down to it, i'd probably imagine it going to the W&G crew as they are academy favs, and tim isnt exactly oscar material

it really depends on the type of animation instead of the story line so Howls Moving Castle may not win against corpse bride cause the animation is only good ...but nothing compared to the corpse bride_it Rox your Sox!!!!!!!

i don't know why it's taking so long to post. and also, as i said before, th coprpse bride's animation (i think) is better than Wallice and Gromitt's so i has a really good chance of getting into the top 3!
