Burton teams with Jim Carrey for next film?
Multiple sources are reporting today that Tim is in early negotiations to direct Jim Carrey in "Believe It or Not", an adventure loosely based on the life of Robert Ripley. You can read the full story at The Hollywood Reporter. Thanks to everyone who emailed us about the story.

Jim Carrey seems like he'd fit right in with Tim. The storyline seems like something Tim would direct. We'll just have to wait and see if this idea comes full circle and becomes Tim's next movie.
Oh My GOD, this is so awesome, images flash to mind with Rober Ripleys strange collections and devices with Tim Burton, and not to mention Jim Carey, that is AWESOME!!!

That would be so cool! Jim carrey might even come around again--we really haven't been seeing too much of him lately, only through little piddly movies like Lemony Snicket and Dick and Jane. The last really good movie he did was Bruce Almighty; I would love to see this guy in the spotlight again--he deserves it.

Jim and Tim sounds like the odd couple, Jim only has on style of character.. and its not for this movie. But its perfect Burton material. nothing against Jim.. but it not really his thing.. but i might just have what it takes.

i think since JIm Carrey is such ia great face maker and odd actor that Tim and Jim will fit together just fine.(tim burton makes everything great.)

This film sounds perfect for Tim, but certainly not for Jim. Carrey really does only have one style of character, I find him irritating and don't think he'd be good for this film.

i know who he is and i think he's a really good director, i'm just not a huge fan, mainly cos my friend talks non-stop about him. i like Charlie and NMBC, and Mars Attacks is preety funny. so no hard feelings?
None at all! I know what it's like when somebody talks about something all the time and you just want them to be quiet. Here's a question for you though... are you still a casual fan? I know you're not a really huge fan but you must like him. And to like jack and sally, I've been wondering the same thing myself. Maybe they are done with this news system and are waiting until next year to put up a new one.

dude! jim carrey isn't that bad, like, the worst movie he did was series of unfortunate events and we can't forgive him for that, but some other movies of his are good. such as ace ven dura (i know i spelled that wrong, but it's the one about him the detective and saving animals). see the movie THEN complain.

i totally agree that jim carry is good. he's one of my fave actors and he has alot of talent, he was great as the joker in batman and he is really good in man on the moon with courtney love. He is funny as well, he's great.yes, I think he could have done better on series of unfortunate events, but cut him some slack, you don't need to kill him, god talk about over the top. lolz. i hate robbie williams but i don't want to kill him.God, seriously.
I've looked on the internet and found out that not only will Tim direct this movie but two old friends will join him, Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski better known to most of us as the writers of Ed Wood. They have also worked with Jim when they wrote Man On The Moon.

Fascinating, it seems Tim saw the Lemony Snicket movie and must have like it.
After all, Brad Silberlings film is a dead (no pun intended) ringer of a Tim Burton Film.
Sometines I think that Burton collects actors from other grim films. i.e. Christina Richie from Addams family, Helena Bonham Carter from Frankenstein...

Jim Carrey doesn't deserve to be in a Tim Burton movie....tsk tsk tsk....however Tim Burton is a genius....perhaps he can make Jim Carrey do it right?
I dont know what to say about this one, Jim Carrey is such a bad actor, it seems like he's going to "Carreyize" this movie like he did with Lemony Snicket movie and other stuff. He's going to make it too...wacky. Wacky. Pshh. I hate that word.
