This update is a little later than usual because of problems with our host, but Charlie and the Chocolate Factory grossed approximately $4.4 million this weekend according to final figures from Box Office Mojo. That's puts it's total North American box office at over $192 million. Worldwide it's made a towering $284 million!

Since today is Aug.25 when I'm writing this, I just want to say:HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM! Congraulations with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory making almost $200.OOO,OOO almost. You did an outstanding job directing it. Good luck with Corpse Bride. I'll be there on opening day in the theatre enjoying the movie. My thanks.

I'm sorry that I'm here two times in arow but I know something that you all probally been wondering about and I know ome of you have asked it before in this section.
"Will there be a sequel?" And the answer is no. if you look on the news section you will find an interview with Tim about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The last question was,"If this movie does well enough would you consider directing Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator?" The answer Tim gave them was and I quote;
"No, you can count on that." Sorry that I had to spoil it for you all, but I think that needed to be known.

I loved Tims take on the story - I knew he could do it justice! The casting was perfect, the music - as always - was outstanding and the 'Burton atmosphere' was absolutely spot on - thanks for another classic!
