CatCF Trading Cards

This just in from xpotserx:

People pre-order Charlie and the Chocolate Factory trading cards here. Expected shipping date for the cards is May 31.

Looks like there won't be any lack of merchandising for this movie!

I hardly think Tim Burton is in charge of marketing and merchandising for the movie.

Trading cards? It reminds me of Mars Attacks! and every movie does it! It's so NOT original. But i'm going to get some anyway.

...its a bit sad really isnt it. then again the film is being targeted at kids, who apparently love trading cards so much they want ones of character's costumes

it's probably going to heavily be marketed towards kids...have you seen all the stuff you can pre-order on amazon.com? it's stuff like activity books, sticker books, 100 piece puzzles, etc.

doesn't mean the movie can't be enjoyed by the rest of us. personally i think the trading cards are neat.

I never seen the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. What is it about, chocolate? If I brought those trading cards, who would I trade it with, and for what?

I love the other Tim Burton films, like Mars Attacks, Big Fish, Beetlejuice, and Edward Scissorhands, which I just wrote bout in my blog because I met a guy who cut my hair with scissors at a place called Pinky's, which was pink.

I love your site, and this blog, but it would be so cool if Tim can say hi to us, with a picture, but not a naked one.

I hope you all had a nice weekend!

Not a naked one? You druggie..

You can't really complain about the trading cards, any big budget movie like this these days has trading cards made of them pretty much...

Hmm, I'll probably get a box of those cards, but I'm not sure if that place is the cheapest one to order. If anyone has any hints about where to get that for the cheapest price, let us know...

wow they are going all out. the beauty of the movie will be ruined with all this merchandising...
